FITNESS COACHING

What is online fitness coaching?

Online fitness coaching means a training plan built around your actual schedule and equipment, with a coach reviewing what you are doing and adjusting it. Our approach treats adherence as the design constraint, so the plan is built for an ordinary week rather than an ideal one.

Part of our health and fitness practice

The best program is the one you finish

This sounds like a compromise. It is arithmetic.

Training results come from accumulated work over months. A well-designed program completed sixty percent of the time produces less than a moderate program completed ninety percent of the time, because the second one accumulates more work. That is not a motivational point, it is just what the numbers do.

Most plans are built for your best week. Five sessions, ninety minutes each, a full gym, decent sleep. That week exists occasionally. The rest of the time the plan is unachievable, the miss reads as failure rather than as an ordinary Tuesday, and somewhere around week five the whole thing stops.

So we build in the other direction. We design for the week you actually have, including the bad ones, and treat capacity above that as a bonus rather than the baseline. The plan usually looks less impressive written down. It produces considerably more training done.

What that means in practice

Every week has a floor: the version that happens when everything goes wrong. Usually short, usually at home, usually no equipment. It exists so that a difficult week produces a small amount of training instead of none, which keeps the habit intact.

Programs that require perfect consecutive weeks break permanently at the first disruption. Yours is built so that a missed week costs you a week rather than a restart.

We plan for what you have access to, including the poor hotel gym and the fortnight with nothing. Those periods are not gaps in the plan, they are part of it.

What happens the day after a missed session, decided before it happens. This single thing changes more outcomes than any programming decision.

If you have forty minutes, the plan takes forty minutes. Ninety-minute sessions written for someone with forty minutes just do not get done.

Who this is for

You train well in blocks and cannot sustain them.

Eight good weeks, then a disruption, then nothing for two months.

You travel and treat it as disqualifying.

Somewhere along the way travel became evidence that consistency is impossible for you.

You have never followed a program properly.

Improvising each session, working hard, and progressing slowly because nothing accumulates.

You have plateaued.

Consistent for a long time and going nowhere, which is usually a programming problem rather than an effort problem.

You are coming back after a long gap.

After injury, illness, or years off, and the main risk is doing too much in the first fortnight.

Your schedule is genuinely difficult.

Shift work, small children, unpredictable hours. Standard programs assume none of that.

How the sessions work

We establish what has actually been happening.

Not what you intend. What the last three months looked like, including the gaps.

We build the plan around your real week.

Available days, real session length, actual equipment, and the travel or shift pattern you cannot change.

We define the floor and the restart rule.

The minimum version and what happens after a miss, both agreed before you need them.

You train. We review what happened.

Not just what was completed, but where things broke and why.

We adjust rather than restart.

When something stops working we change that part. Wholesale replacement is how people end up with a graveyard of abandoned plans.

How the Method applies

Clarity.

The honest training history, including the stops. Most people describe their own consistency generously.

Ownership.

Your schedule and equipment are often fixed. What you do inside them, and what you do after a miss, are not.

Direction.

A goal with a realistic timeframe and a named cost in time and social flexibility.

Momentum.

The centre of this work. Consistent accumulated training, tracked honestly, with recovery from disruption as the measure that matters most.

What we do not do

We are not medical professionals.

We do not diagnose or treat injuries or conditions. If something hurts in a way that is not normal training discomfort, see a physiotherapist or doctor.

We do not prescribe meal plans.

Nutrition work here is behavioural. For clinical nutrition, that is a registered dietitian.

We do not sell transformation timelines.

Anyone promising a specific physique by a specific date is guessing, and usually knows it.

We do not use punishment as a tool.

No making up missed sessions, no compensating for what you ate. Those habits do long-term damage to your relationship with training.

From our case studies

What she was actually afraid of.

A mother of two who had tried and abandoned several plans, convinced the problem was time. Phase One found a quiet fear underneath it: that months of work would still not get her back to how she looked before.

Questions

No. Plenty of clients train at home or with minimal equipment. We plan around what you have.

Yes, built for your schedule, equipment, and experience, and adjusted as we go.

There is overlap. The difference is that we spend as much time on why previous plans stopped as on the programming itself, because that is usually the thing that determines results.

Yes, and beginners often see the fastest progress because consistency is easier to establish before bad habits form.

Tell us at intake. We may need clearance from a physiotherapist or doctor, and we will work around it rather than through it.

Behavioural nutrition work sits in the health and fitness practice.

As often as your week genuinely allows, which is usually fewer sessions than people plan and more sessions than they complete under a standard program.
